It’s funny, isn’t it, the every day events that occur in our lives, ups and downs and highlights that constitute an entire year.  As we live it, it can sometimes feel boring or tedious, day to day, week to week.  But as the year winds down and we have a chance to truly reflect on what’s transpired, re-living those highlights, the laughter, the camaraderie, new friends and experiences we’ve cemented to memory,  reflection allows us to be appreciative of each of those moments and  nuances that was the year past.  And so, when I look back on 2017, I can truly say it was an evolutionary journey on many different levels; both professional and personal.  And what’s a year without growth? Without it we can stagnate and forget our purpose and hell, that’s no fun!! 🙂

I’ve narrowed down my favorites to 25 this year; some were chosen just because I felt I captured exactly what I intended to, some because of the experiences that were associated with them, some because of the people that I met along the way or solidified a deeper relationship, others because I liked the emotive qualities that came from the shoot, and still others because of all of the above (those are my true favorites!)

Some of the highlights included:  Iceland in the spring, heli in and out of Mt. Robson on a 3 day work trip for Tourism Valemount, working with the great people of Agriculture Canada, multiple trips to work with Sun Peaks Resort, a great trip to work with the city of Vanderhoof, assignment work with our magazine, Outdoor Photography Canada, multiple Okanagan excursions and much more.  The images you see are in a rough order from the start of the year to the finish.  Enjoy, because I know I did in creating, and I’m so ready to hit the ground running in ’18.  Thanks for all your support, without which I wouldn’t be able to do what I do!
